With hymns & stotras of Goddess Lakshmi. Sri Sukta or Lakshmi Sukta is found in the "Khilusukta" of the Appendix sukta in the Rgveda. It also occurs in the Atharvaveda. Sri Sukta is virtually recognized for the fulfilment of desires. All the fifreen verses of Sri Sukta speak of the admiration of goddess Sri or Lakshmi. The first two verses are addressed to Jataveda i.e. Narayana & request Him to bring Sri to the aspirant. The verses third & fourth are invocations of Sri herself & by the fifth, the aspirant makes the 'Prapatti'. And by next five verses, the aspirant prays for the relinquishment of all evils & ignorance, & for the attainment of knowledge, wealth & fame. The next two verses of the sukta are requests by the devotee to the father & attendant of Sri (Lakshmi), ask her come & dwell in his house. The last three vereses are similar to the opening verses wherein the devotee addresses to Narayana & makes an earnest request to Him to bring goddess Lakshmi to him.
